Goodie Bag is a marketplace for local surplus food, connecting local shops and customers to reduce food waste and promote sustainable practices. We are seeking a full-time Social Media & Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This individual will take charge of all social media marketing efforts, driving growth, engagement, and brand awareness in both existing and new markets.

Position Summary:
The Social Media & Marketing Manager will own Goodie Bag’s social media presence, creating measurable, impactful content to increase followers and engagement. They will manage all aspects of social media strategy, content creation, and campaign execution while identifying top influencers to expand our audience and build partner awareness in launch markets. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in social media marketing who is passionate about sustainability and community impact.

Primary Goal:
Leverage social media and other marketing strategies to acquire new customers and partners, both in new and existing markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop and execute creative, engaging, and data-driven content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms. Ensure alignment with Goodie Bag’s brand voice and mission.

  • Performance Tracking: Define and track measurable KPIs for follower growth, engagement rates, and campaign performance. Regularly analyze and report on metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content and strategies.

  • Influencer Marketing: Identify, connect with, and manage relationships with influencers and creators who align with Goodie Bag’s mission. Oversee influencer collaborations to maximize reach and impact.

  • Market Launch Support: Coordinate all social media activations in new markets. Develop localized campaigns and partner promotions to build awareness and engagement.

  • Audience Engagement: Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a strong online community.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and partnerships teams to align social media efforts with broader business goals and partner needs.

  • Trend Analysis: Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to keep Goodie Bag’s strategies innovative and competitive.

  • Partner Awareness: Design and execute campaigns that increase awareness and visibility for partners in active markets.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media marketing and content creation, with measurable results.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging content and campaigns.

  • Experience with influencer outreach and collaboration.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools to track and report on performance (e.g., Google Analytics, native platform analytics).

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar is a plus.

  • Passion for sustainability, food, and community impact is highly desirable.

 

Expectations:

  • Plan and execute successful influencer collaborations across all existing and new markets.

  • Manage influencer ambassadors across markets.

  • Create and execute Goodie Bag’s social media content strategy:

    • Minimum 4 high-quality reels per week.

    • Daily social media engagement, including responsiveness to inbound messages.

  • Increase social media engagement.

  • Grow Instagram followers to 10k and TikTok followers to 2k within the first few months.

  • Coordinate and execute social media activations for market launches.

  • Demonstrate clear ROI through app downloads, increased engagement, and audience growth.

  • Be comfortable being on camera and participating in content creation as needed.

  • Willingness to do minimal travel to markets when warranted.
