Up Next: Nashville & Memphis! 🎉

  • Feb 13, 2025
  • 2 min read

The wait is over, Music City and Bluff City!

Starting February 19th, you’ll be able to secure perfectly good, unsold food from local restaurants, bakeries, and other shops at more than 50% OFF—all through the Goodie Bag app!

Tennessee, We See You! 👀

We’re stoked to support the strong local food scenes in these two legendary cities. From Memphis’ world-famous BBQ to Nashville’s iconic Hot Chicken, y’all know how to eat. Now, we have the privilege of making sure all that delicious food ends up in bellies, not landfills.

Did You Know? đŸ€“

We love learning about what makes each community unique, so here are some fun food facts about your cities:

đŸ«Nashville gave us America’s first candy bar—the Goo Goo Cluster! This bad boy is packed with chocolate, peanuts, caramel, and marshmallow nougat.

🎾 Memphis is the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, with the first-ever rock song, Rocket 88, recorded in 1951. It’s also home to The King himself, Elvis Presley.

đŸ„Ș Speaking of Elvis
he had a thing for Fool’s Gold Loaf—a sandwich loaded with peanut butter, mashed banana, and bacon. Can’t say we’ve tried it, and honestly, probably won’t. But it does sound like a hound dog’s dream!

Game Time! 🏆

To our Tennesseans—or more specifically, Mephians and Nashvillians—we’re pumped to contribute to a zero-waste food era in your communities.

Download the Goodie Bag app now and join the waitlist for a free $6 credit. Then, come February 19th, you can start securing goodie bags; saving food, money, and supporting local!

Happy Goodie Baggin’!Â đŸ›ïžâ™»ïž

This was a very thoughtful and well-structured read. I like how the post manages to stay informative while still being approachable for https://trentonjonesmd.com/ a wide audience. It reminded me of another breakdown I came across on a based review blog which offered a slightly different but equally useful viewpoint.

Great to see sustainability efforts being embraced in restaurants like this. Small changes can make a real difference. I recently read something on Giving a child up for adoption around community impact and it reminded me of that.

Great initiative. Reducing food waste is such an important topic, and it’s encouraging to see restaurants embracing sustainable solutions. I recently https://countonsheep.com/ found a related discussion on a based review blog and appreciated this.

Great to see restaurants embracing sustainability in practical ways. Small changes really can create a bigger impact https://www.revitalyzemd.com over time. I recently saw a similar sustainability-related discussion on a revitalyzemd-based review blog (revitalyzemd), and it was an interesting read.
