We are a small team taking on an initiative against competitors 150x our size. You have to want to be at the ground level. You have to understand that the work is real, the pace is real, and the expectations are real, but so is the reward when we reach the summit.

You will work alongside founders who care deeply about what they are building. You will work with a development team that built our app from scratch, people we are genuinely proud to call teammates. Our CEO may use the word stoked more than “normal” and our COO might run long distances more than “normal” too. But not normal is magic.

The Role

 

This role owns how Goodie Bag shows up in the world.

​

You will be responsible for leading and evolving our brand across social media, digital channels, partnerships, and physical touchpoints. This is a hands-on creative leadership role for someone who can think strategically, execute beautifully, and take pride in building a brand from the ground up.

​

This is not a performance marketing role. You will not be managing paid ad campaigns, SEO, or growth funnels. You will be shaping voice, visuals, storytelling, partnerships, and presence, and ensuring everything feels unmistakably Goodie Bag.

​

Over time, this role is expected to grow into a C-level leadership position for the right person.

​

Core Responsibilities

 

Brand Ownership & Creative Direction

  • Own and evolve the Goodie Bag brand across all channels and touchpoints

  • Ensure visual identity, voice, and messaging are consistent, clear, and compelling

  • Translate brand strategy into execution across digital, physical, and in-app experiences

 

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Lead day-to-day social media activity across platforms

  • Own posting cadence, daily engagement, reposting tags, and community interaction

  • Actively engage with high-visibility and aligned accounts

  • Develop and manage content strategy and content calendar

 

Content Creation

  • Create, edit, and publish original content across formats

  • Capture and work with raw footage

  • Edit short-form video for Instagram and TikTok

  • Repurpose existing content across channels

  • Maintain a steady, high-quality creative output

 

Graphic Design & Visual Assets

  • Design brand assets for both digital and physical use

  • Create assets for social, website, app, email, and in-person materials

  • Support UI and UX design in collaboration with engineers

  • Ensure app experience is visually aligned with brand, without writing code

 

Copy & Storytelling

  • Co-evolve brand voice with founders and own written communication

  • Write social captions, marketing emails, ad copy, and outbound messaging

  • Ensure messaging is clear, human, and aligned with our mission

 

Brand Partnerships & Collaborations

  • Identify and pursue aligned brands, organizations, and individuals

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships to scale brand awareness

  • Lead influencer relationships and campaigns

  • Coordinate podcast collaborations and other brand awareness campaigns

 

Physical Brand & Product Touchpoints

  • Translate brand into physical assets including merch, stickers, brochures, and partner material

  • Ensure brand presence extends beyond the app into real-world experiences

  • Bridge digital storytelling into physical brand moments

 

Leadership & Team Building

  • Own and grow this function over time

  • Manage contractors and source external creative support as needed

  • Build and lead future brand and creative hires

 

Skills & Experience

 

Strongly Needed

  • Content creation and creative strategy

  • Video editing, especially short-form reels

  • Raw footage capture and editing

  • Graphic design

  • Email/DM communication

  • UI and UX collaboration, including Figma

  • Website design and management, Wix experience preferred

  • Copywriting across channels

  • Strong familiarity with video editing tools

  • AI-native workflows and comfort leveraging LLMs to accelerate content creation

 

Not Required, but Bonus If You Do

  • SEO

  • Paid digital ad campaign management

  • Meta, TikTok, Apple, Google, Reddit ads

Compensation & Equity

  • Base salary: $80,000/year

  • Equity: Meaningful equity grant, structured based on experience, impact, and alignment with success metrics.

  • Role is designed to grow in scope and responsibility, with a clear path toward executive leadership for the right person.

 

We are transparent about expectations and believe equity should reflect ownership, contribution, and long-term commitment.

 

What Success Looks Like

 

First 90 Days

  • Deep understanding of the Goodie Bag brand, voice, mission, and audience

  • Full ownership of social media presence and content cadence

  • Clear, documented brand and content strategy in motion

  • Strong working relationship with founders and engineering team

  • Consistent, high-quality creative output across channels

 

By 6 Months

  • Noticeable lift in brand clarity, consistency, and recognition

  • Strong engagement across social channels driven by original content

  • Active partnerships with aligned brands, creators, and organizations

  • Brand assets and physical touchpoints clearly aligned with digital experience

  • Clear roadmap for scaling brand and creative efforts

 

By 12 Months

  • Goodie Bag has a distinct, recognizable brand presence in and out of the app

  • Brand partnerships are a meaningful driver of awareness and growth

  • Creative function is operating smoothly with contractors or early hires as needed

  • This role is operating at a leadership level, with ownership over brand strategy and execution

  • Clear readiness to evolve into a C-level role as the company scales

 

Who This Role Is Not For

 

This role is likely not a fit if:

  • You are primarily a performance or growth marketer focused on paid ads, funnels, SEO, or analytics

  • You prefer highly structured environments with clearly defined playbooks and narrow scopes

  • You are uncomfortable owning both strategy and execution

  • You are looking for a strict 9 to 5 role or clear separation between “work” and “impact”

  • You are not interested in building something from the ground up

  • You prefer to be handed creative direction rather than setting it

  • You are not excited by ambiguity, iteration, and figuring things out as you go
